Update.

I like having a deadline so far. It's been good to me. The writing quality is down, but that's what editing is for, and you can't edit something that hasn't been written. I'm sure I'll soon begin to loathe the deadline and the quota, but for now it's very helpful. Enjoy it while it lasts!

The text colour changes you will see are to differentiate new bits of text so you don't have to search for "where's the update?" Just go to each part where the colour alternates and see if you recognize it. It's also more convenient for me that way, to find where the discrepancies are.

This new bit today is a tad controversial - please leave some feedback in the discussion section! I really wanna know what you think about it, it's a touchy subject!

I read thru both colored sections, mostly to keep the story straight in my head. Didn't mind the repeating, as it's interesting enough to keep my attention. Only section I had trouble with was Morgan's dialect when he was writing in his journal.

Looks like 2 new story lines starting up, unless the two new couples are minor characters. Didn't seem that way, but it all depends on where the plot takes you.

Definitely a fun read. Ready for more, please.

Boy am I a confusing writer! There's two new couples? Maybe it's confoozling coz it ain't done bin edited yet. Like I said, writing quality is down. There weren't supposed to be any new couples that I'm aware of. :-k

Fretteth nott, for Morgan's journall remaineth "normaller" from ys point in ye storie even unto ye ende. It's going to be interspersed throughout a lot of the rest of the book so you get an idea of what he was up to for the last five years, but he'll write it all in normal English, not Geekspeak. Just think First Person Flashback Scenes and you're good to go. And no, it wasn't actually all that difficult to write. I've read a lot of stuff written that way, and it kinda flows once you get into the rhythm of it. But I knew no one would read it, hence Jasper telling him to tone it down. :goodbook:

Wait... two new couples?

Galen/Dreyma are not new. Their romance is what had Galen living in a tree when Jasper & crew found him.

Jasper/Pearl are not a couple. Having sex once and being a couple are vastly different things. Teaching someone about sex in a ceremonial way is not being a couple.

Paige/Kemen are not a couple. He has left everything he knows to follow her because she is his whole world, but it is not a romantic thing.

Are there any more I am missing?

Nope... I'll admit I'm terrible at names, and don't remember Dreyma at all from Book 1. Didn't understand about Jasper and Pearl (new girl?) not being a couple, however, as it appeared they were about to consummate their marriage. Hmmm, teaching a young girl about sex... That would have been an occupation worth exploring.

Chapter One is done!

Actually, I have no idea when the chapter breaks are going to appear when I start editing it. A page a day is the goal, and so I've hit 31 pages (well, it took 32 to reach the end of the scene, so I did a little more) and therefore the end of "month" one, which I'm gonna call a chapter. Page a day, chapter a month. Really it's a collection of small scenes just sort of loosely strung together in roughly chronological order.

Either way, Chapter One is done, coz I hit 31 pages, and that's Chapter January.

I finished my February quota! I honestly didn't think I could do it, but I did it with three hours to spare! A-friggin'-mazing! What a rush! Now for more knitting. Sigh. No rest for the wicked!

Be warned, though: this is no chronological story anymore. It's raw material that jumps from one part of the story to another and will make little sense if you're not me. However, I can't edit what I haven't written!
