Maybe it is the Pippy Longstocking (magical pigtails) / Little Orphan Annie (No pupils in her eyes) connections, but in my mind Little Frieda has always been a redhead.

ZBS doesn't usually go out of their way to describe characters, which lets us imagine what they might look like, but "The Case of the Disappearing Witch" laid it out plain.

Little Frieda is blonde.

At first I thought I might have mis-heard it, but there it is again on the cover. Blond pigtails sticking out from under the witches cap.

Has this been mentioned anywhere else? Did anyone else think of her as a blonde?

I guess I always pictured her as a brunette, but I've also never felt the least inclination to be bound by what I'm told. She's a redhead, and always will be to you. She's a brunette, and always will be to me. Don't matter what Meatball says. She's a blonde, and probably always has been to him.

Or maybe she dyes her hair. :-k

Maybe....

Ah, but I am the opposite. Now that I have been told she was blonde, blonde she shall be!

Peoples' minds work differently, and thank goodness for that, eh?

My mind kinda goes Whoops! Looks like ol' Meatball made a little mistake there! That's kinda funny!

I do that reading books too. If I've got a mental image of the layout of a building and the book says "so-and-so turned left down the hallway to get to such-and-such a room," I say to myself hmmm, the author got that bit wrong. That room is in the other direction.

Took me awhile when working on the game to figure out a workable floorplan for Inverness with the information I could glean from the stories. Which game, of course, has been shelved by Life Getting In The Way. But not given up on. Just shelved.

Not being one to knock the one who has provided me with hours of entertainment, I suspect that Meatball might be a bit colorblind. Little Frieda is Venusian and everyone knows that because it is the first planet and closest to the Sun, Venusians have no pupils and hair darker than blonde. Again, I wouldn't want to upset him or for any reason reconsider such a wonderful character, but I think there must have been some error in the packaging. ZBS has had some issues with such things in the past.
